Miikka Kiprusoff is one of the hottest goalies in the league with a 1.51 GGA with .929 save percentage in his last 2 GPI. The team is finally starting to gel and play like a team under the Mike Keenan hockey system. Alex Tanguay, Dion Phaneuf, Kristian Huselius, and Jarome Iginla  have all stepped up and played like a team as the Falmes look to be the team to beat in the Northwest division. Even Owen Nolan is stepping up and contributing with 2 point in the last two games.

The will be playing the San Jose Sharks who are also  playing well with a 31-17-7 NHL record but have not played wella t home all year with a 14-12-4 home record. Jonathan Cheechoo seems to be coming around and start scoring points with 4 pts in his last 2 games played.

The Sharks have a number of players on the injury list with Curtis Brown out with a hand injury, Ryane Clowe out with a knee injury, Doug Murray with a hip pointer who is day-to-day and Brad Norton is out with a back injury.
