Raffi Torres and Jarret Stoll were once coined as the “Young Guns” in a rebuilding Edmonton Oiler team, but after they forgot to load all season, their sniper license was revoked by K-Lowe and the boys were shipped out to a different battle zone. Last year, Raffi Torres, (once a 25+ goal scorer) was basically invisible, taking a back seat to new players like Cogliano and Sam Gagne, who carried the team most of the way after finding their legs around the end of Winter. But, it’s cold in Edmonton 10 months of the year and house prices are rising, so, you can’t have your cocaine and sniff it too, right Raffi? Now, with Jarret Stoll, it was an unfortunate concussion that held him back just as he was coming into his own. Now, I don’t know the seriousness of his concussion, but I do feel bad for the guy, he was getting really good. And in Edmonton, where hockey players are rock stars, the guy was probably getting laid at least 3 times a week by really hot prairie chicks. And wasn’t he dating that super model for a bit??? Lets just hope in LA, Jarret can feel important, even if he is a 4th liner. Wait, he’s a King? Oh, he’ll be a 1st liner, even if he scores once every 10 games. Same with Raffi in Columbus… You guys will be Stars.

Speaking of the Oilers, one that has seen a few cities in the past couple of years has found yet another home. George Laraque, who just finished a cup run with the Pens has been traded to the Montreal Canadians. Well, his name is already French, so, it only made sense and someone has to match up to Darcy Tucker.

Oh, and Todd Bertuzzi just signed with the Flames. Haha ya. So it’s time for him to prairie…. Just not too hard, Bert.
