It’s Raining Pens

The Pens made it to game 4! And all of you out there doubted them thinking they would never make it this far in the finals, go home.

Just kidding. Everyone makes it to game 4. Even Colorado. But then again, I bet they wished they would have just stayed at home for that one… 8 goals scored on them… yikes. Where were their “Captain Canadas.” Huh?

Or is Detroit that good. Seems like they are doing something right all the way from draft picking to line ups to deciding to stick with Osgood. They are the “Mohammed Ali” of Hockey, right now. Best team all year, and now 3 games into the finals, they have proven to be THEE play off team as well. They aren’t exactly wearing their hearts on their sleeves like Pens are, but maybe you don’t have to, when you have Zetterberg.

But then again, who cares about the first 2 games…. They are just getting their feet wet at this point.

As for the Pens, ya, they are less experienced and maybe a bit nervous and emotions are getting the best of them, but, seems like they have relaxed and are enjoying these finals a bit more now… probably since they finally got a goal. Penetration always brings forth a positive release. And last game, it was raining Pens. Sid the kid got his first ever goal in the Cup finals and Malkin was behaving…he wasn’t acting like an immigrant…. to hockey that it.

And so, if the Pens stay out of the penalty box, and their fans get all boozed up and cheer for them, I say they Pens win on Saturday. OK. Not just because of that, because they are fancy. They are fast. Detroit is old. Well, Dominick Hassek is benched so that might bring the average age down a bit. But, still, I think they will go out harder because they might just want this win more. And they can do it. Hossa is looking fine and I don’t think Crosby wants to shave that stubble on his face just yet.

I still think this series is going to game 7. Game on!
