2008 NHL Trade Deadline
The 2008 trade deadline has come and gone and one of the most surprising things that came out of the day was the fact that Mats Sundin is still a Maple Leaf. Some teams benefited and some NHL teams stayed the same. Dave Nonis the GM of the Vancouver Canucks considered some of the NHL trades but general manager decided it wasn't worth dealing away prospects so they team basically have the same roster. Others teams like the Dallas Star won the Brad Richards sweepstakes. Now that GM Bret Hull has bolstered his line up the Star look like legitimate contenders in the Western Conference.
